Recently, Risen disclosed that the company plans to invest in the construction of an annual 10GW efficient solar cell project in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, including an N-type efficient solar cell production line. After the completion of the project, it is expected to increase the capacity of the N-type efficient solar cell by 10GW.
It is reported that the development of photovoltaic cell technology comes from technological iteration. Due to the slowing progress of efficiency improvement of the current mainstream PERC cell, while the efficiency improvement potential of the N-type cell is great and the investment cost continues to decrease, the current transformation efficiency has exceeded an average of more than 24%. This round of photovoltaic technology reform will shift from the P-type cell to the N-type cell. Cell enterprises urgently need to upgrade technology to optimize costs to improve profitability.
N-type cell technology is mainly divided into TOPCon, HJT and IBC. The announcement indicates that N-type cell will usher in a wave of development opportunities in the next few years by virtue of its great potential for efficiency improvement and low investment costs. Risen disclosed that the company has mastered the core technology that the conversion efficiency of TOPCon cell chip has exceeded 25.00% and that of heterojunction cell chip has exceeded 25.50%.
